Johannesburg J1c Triangular obliterator
A barred triangular obliterator with the letters 'ZAR' in the corners ('Z' at top, 'A' at bottom left and 'R' at bottom right" and '3' in the centre between 2 thick black lines. There are three types - one with a thick numeral, one with a thin numeral and one with an inverted thick numeral with a thin short middle line. Exceptionally rare on cover with only one seen by me so far dated 8 January 1890

- Postmark type J1c (ii) - thick numeral rated 2R on stamp and 3R on cover
- Postmark type J1c (iii) - numeral 3 inverted rated 3R
